Prompt: How important is it for you to retain your cultural foods as you move forward in life? Explain the importance and which foods you cannot live without.

Retaining cultural foods like tamales is very important to me. Every Christmas and New Year's making tamales is a tradition in my family. We all gather together to prepare them and it brings us closer. Tamales remind me of home, family, and the special times we share. I couldn’t imagine celebrating these holidays without them. My family is the most important part of who I am. They taught me to respect myself and work hard. They always supported me and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Their guidance helped shape me into the person I am today. Because of them I value family and the people who care about me. Summary;My family is the most important aspect of my identity. Reflectio: Today was a great day, I learned a lot and plan to use the information I learned in my future.

Prompt: How would you feel if your privacy was invaded online or on your phone? Do you think privacy is a basic civil liberty?

 If my privacy was invaded online or on my phone, I wouldn't care much. My phone doesn't have anything important to invade. I don’t keep personal information or sensitive stuff on it. It wouldn’t be a big deal for me. But I still think privacy is important for others.\ Summary: I feel like people should not hid stuff online because it's easy to access so invading phone pricavy is not a big deal. Prompt: Describe what you did over the winter break

Over winter break I spent most of my time working and playing soccer with friends. I also enjoyed playing video games which helped me relax after a long day. The weather was cold but I didn’t mind as we played soccer outside. I also spent most of my brake with my family. It was a fun and exciting break full of enjoyment and effort. summary: During winter break I spent my time working, playing soccer, enjoying video games with friends, and spending time with family. Reflection: Today was a grate day I learned new vocabulary words and plan to use them to improve my vocabulary.

Prompt: Based on the two informational passages that you've read thus far this week, write about how you will personally strive to avoid student loan debt?

To avoid student loan debt I’ll go to an in-state college to keep costs low. I’ll apply for scholarships and grants, like the Georgia HOPE program. Staying in-state will also save money on living expenses. I’ll work hard to keep my GPA up and keep my financial aid. Also I will get a part time job to avoid taking loans. Summary: I plan to avoid student loan debt by attending an in-state college, applying for scholarships and grants, and keeping a good GPA. Reflection:Today was a grate day I learned a lot and plan to use this information in the future. 

Prompt: Describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about.

 A perfect day would start with us spending time together enjoying each other’s company. We’d go to a nice restaurant and have a meal we both love. We’d laugh together, sharing jokes. Afterward, we’d take a walk talking about everything and anything. The day would end with us feeling happy, relaxed, and grateful for the time spent together. Summary :A perfect day would be spent enjoying each other’s company, laughing over a shared meal, and creating memories together. Refelection: today was a grate day and I learned a lot in school 

Prompt: What is your American Dream? What do you like most about America?

 My American Dream is to own an F250 truck and a big house one day. I love that America is a place where you can achieve anything if you work hard enough. The opportunity to build a successful life is something I really want to achieve. The idea that anyone can pursue their dreams without worries makes America grate. I believe that with dedication, I can make my dreams come true in America. Summary: My American Dream is to own an F250 truck and a big house, believing that in America, anything is possible with hard work. Refelection; Today was a great day and learned a lot.

Prompt: Describe a time when someone offended you with their words.

 One time, my friend called me trash during a soccer game and it really hurt. I started feeling like I wasn’t good enough to play well. After that I lost my confidence to shoot the ball and started passing it instead. Every time I got the ball I worried about messing up. That moment made me doubt myself and it took a while to feel confident again. Summary: the words someone says can affect you, so be kind to everyone. Reflection: My day went wonderfully and was very productive.

Prompt: What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

In high school I learned how to read and write effectively which are crucial for understanding information and expressing my thoughts clearly. Writing skills helped me complete assignments and communicate my ideas in a clear way. Reading helped me absorb knowledge from books and articles expanding my knowledge. Also simple math is essential for life after high school allowing you to manage you money. These skills will be essential for solving problems after high school. Summary: In high school I learned reading, writing, and math skills that will help me succeed and live independently after graduation. Reflection: today Was a grate day and I learned a lot.

Prompt: It's Super Bowl weekend! Some people watch the Super Bowl for football, others for the commercials, and some just for the halftime show. What’s your favorite part of big events like this, and why?

 My favorite part of the Super Bowl is watching the commercials and the halftime show. I enjoy seeing all the creative ads with the money they had to have spent. Also I enjoy the amazing halftime performances. Im a chefs fan so I'm hoping we win for the 3 time in a row.

Prompt: What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

My biggest strength as a speaker is being prepared. I always make sure to practice and know what I’m going to say. A challenge I face is being nervous when speaking in front of others. I worry about making mistakes or forgetting what to say. But I try to stay calm and focus on my preparation.

Prompt: If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

 If I had to write a poem about my life right now it would be about the stress of being a junior. I worry about which colleges to apply to and if I'm making the right choices. I feel overwhelmed trying to keep up with my AP classes and their tough workload. Every day seems like a balance between doing well in school and planning for the future. I also worry about important test like the SAT.

Prompt: Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

I once had to give a 5-minute speech on current global issues. I was terrified feeling like the five minutes stretched on for hours. During the speech I experienced awkward pauses and stumbled over my words, which made me even more nervous. Afterward I was bombarded with questions adding to my anxiety. My advice to someone struggling with stage fright is to practice breathe deeply and remember that everyone makes mistakes
