Prompt: Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

I had to rely on my sister to feed my hamster when I went on a one-week trip. I was nervous because I didn’t want my hamster to go hungry. She promised to take care of it and I trusted her. While I was away, I kept wondering if everything was okay. When I came back, my hamster was fine, and I was glad I could count on her.

Prompt: Write about an object that holds sentimental value and why it’s important to you.

I still have my old dog’s collar even though he passed away years ago. It’s worn out from all the years he wore it but it holds so many memories. Every time I look at it I remember his bark and how he’d wag his tail when I came home. The collar reminds me of the love and friendship we shared. It’s a small piece of him that I’ll always keep close to my heart.

Prompt: Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone

I had always been hesitant about extreme activities but when I visited Florida I decided to try paragliding off a boat. As the boat sped through the water I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness building up inside me. When it was my turn I strapped into the harness and with a sudden pull I was lifted off the water and into the sky. The view of the coastline from above was breathtaking and all my fear melted away as I glided smoothly through the air. It was an unforgettable experience and I realized I was capable of more than I thought.

Prompt: If you were President of the United States of America, what are 5 things that you would do and why?

If I were President, I would make school days two hours shorter so kids have more time to relax and do homework. I would work on lowering gas prices to make it easier for people to afford driving. I would also help lower-income families by making sure they have better access to food, housing, and jobs. I’d make sure everyone has healthcare, so no one has to worry about big medical bills. Lastly, I would focus on protecting the environment by using more clean energy and reducing pollution.

Prompt: Write about a dream that felt real.

I had a dream where I was at the beach with my family and it felt so real. The sun was shining and we were all laughing and having the best time together. We played in the sand and swam in the waves just enjoying the day. Then we all got on jetskis and raced across the water feeling the wind in our hair. It was an amazing feeling like I was living my best day ever with the people I love.
